The Strategic Planning Workshop

Recently, the Lebanese Scout Federation finished The Strategic Planning Workshop for all tasks, which was held in a Hotel Le Crillon - Broumana.
The workshop was led by the President of the LSF Mr. Kamal S. Fakhr, and was attended by the LSF Committee and General Commission members, as well as representatives from the scout associations affiliated to the LSF.
The points discussed and studied were: strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges confront the LSF.
Participants were divided into twelve sub-committees, through which the objectives had been developed, and procedural steps had been taken for the implementation period of the current LSF Committee. In addition, proposals and preparations for the activities of the Centennial Anniversary of the Scout Movement in 2012 had been considered.
The sub-committees were:
- Strategic Planning;
- Management and Organization of Scouts Work;
- Resource Development and Self-Financing;
- Leadership Development;
- Membership Development;
- Community Development;
- Public Relations;
- Media and Communication;
- International Relations;
- Programs and Phases Development;
- The Major Gatherings;
- Cooperation with the International Organizations.
The workshop was accomplished with perseverance of all the audience to promote and endorse the Lebanese Scout Federation, in order to elevate it to a higher level that meets the needs of young people and the community, through activities which have been developed for implementation during the next three years.
Finally, the LSF President granted all the participants Gratitude Certificates.
